Precautions for charging lithium-ion batteries
① Prevent high temperature during charging
If the temperature during charging of a lithium-ion battery is higher than the specified operating temperature (35 ℃), the battery capacity will continue to decrease, that is, the power supply time under full charge will be shortened, which will cause damage to the battery quality and reduce its lifespan.
② Prevent low temperature during charging
If the battery is charged in a low-temperature environment (below 4 ℃), the battery level will continue to decrease, and even fail to charge. However, the situation is different from that in a high-temperature environment, and it is not permanent damage. When the temperature rises to a suitable level, the battery level will return to its previous state.
③ Frequently used
Frequent use will keep the electrons in lithium-ion batteries in a flowing state, which is beneficial for extending their lifespan. If not frequently used, remember to complete one charging cycle for lithium-ion batteries every month, that is, deep discharge and deep charge once.
④ Lithium ion batteries should use a dedicated charger for lithium-ion batteries and follow the instructions, otherwise it may damage the battery and even cause danger.
⑤ Preventing frequent use of lithium-ion batteries can be said to be the most fundamental method, but even if you mostly use external power sources and don't seem to use batteries, in reality, the aging process of batteries continues over time.
